Kent Willis director of the ACLU of Virginia on Indy Media Live!
Located in Richmond, the ACLU of Virginia is one of 50 state or regional affiliates of the National ACLU. Of the ACLU’s 500,000 members nationwide, 11,000 reside in Virginia. The ACLU of Virginia is a private, non-partisan, non-profit organization that depends almost entirely on individual contributions for financial support. It does not accept government funding. The purpose of the ACLU is to promote, protect and expand civil rights and civil liberties public through public education, litigation, and lobbying.
